AIRPORTS CAPACITY PROBLEMS AND POSSIBILITY OF THEIR SOLUTIONS

Abstract

This article focuses on the issue of airport capacity problems and possibility of their solutions. Analyzes the basic theoretical background and illustrates the main airport capacity problems in the area of runways, taxiways, aprons and air traffic management. Airport capacity is the ability of individual airport facilities, check-flows of passengers, baggage and cargo in a certain period of time for an agreed level of quality. Capacity problems are nowadays problems at almost every airport, so it is still necessary to find new ways to deal with them.
