OPERATION OF LIGHT SIGNAL HEADS IN AIRPORT OPERATIONS AT THE AIRPORT IN LOW VISIBILITY

Abstract

In this diploma work we present the lighting systems of airports in general and their technical solution. It intents on the operation of lighting signal heads and it concentrates on the activities of workplaces at the airport during the low visibility and its security. We describe lighting glide systems, approach systems and monitoring system. We analyze CAT I, II and III and it specifies lighting systems at the airport during the low visibility. We deal with the preparation, continuance and completion of the operation during the low visibility.
