THE CAUSES OF DAMAGES TO GAS TURBINES OF AVIATION TURBO-JET ENGINES
Abstract
The article provides and analysis of thermal deformations and damages to selected parts of aviation turbo-jet engines. The emphasis is laid upon damages to blades through corrosion, gas erosion, material cutting as well as cracks and fractures resulting from the operation of given types of aviation engines.
